1 How does Smile protect your privacy?

Smile only collects the data that is necessary to provide its services and stores it in the anonymized way in our own
self-hosted analytics system.
Smile does not use any profiling based on your search history. This ensures that you will always receive pure and
unbiased search results every time you submit a query to our search engine.
Smile does not use cookies that could be used to identify the user. We also do not use any other tracking
technologies such as pixels or fingerprints.
We only allow connections to Smile over a secure HTTPS connection. This ensures that no one between you and our
search engine can secretly listen to your requests and steal your personal data.

We collect and use the following information about you:
Your Profile Information. You give us information when you register on the Platform, including your
username, password, date of birth (where applicable), email address and/or telephone number, information
you disclose in your user profile, and your photograph or profile video.
User Content and Behavioural Information. We process the content you generate and view on the
Platform, including preferences you set (such as choice of language) photographs, audios and videos you
upload or create, comments and livestreams you make ("User Content"). We collect User Content through
pre-loading at the time of creation, import, or upload, regardless of whether you choose to save or upload
that User Content, in order to recommend audio options and provide other personalized
recommendations.If you apply an effect to your User Content, we may collect a version of your User
Content that does not include the effect. We may collect information about the images and audio that are a
part of your User Content, such as identifying the objects and scenery that appear, the existence and
location within an image of face and body features and attributes, the nature of the audio, and the text of

confidentiality and security of your personal user data and other information
transmitted to us. For example, we encrypt your personally identifiable information,
and most, if not all requests from you to the server are created over a secure
connection (HTTPS). However. no data transmission over the Internet or other
network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

2. HOW IS CHILDREN'S PERSONAL INFORMATION TREATED?

If you are 13 years old or under, you may only use Smile Products and disclose information to us with your parent's or
guardian's consent. Your parent or guardian, teacher, or school administrator can view all information within or
associated with your Platform account, including, without limitation, messages between you and your teacher and
grades you received on assignments. Please know that misrepresenting your age is illegal.
If you are a parent or teacher of an Smile user, please know that we collect personal information through the Platform
from your child or student, respectively, only when we are authorized by at least one of you. In some cases, a school
district or administrator may grant us permission to provide Edmodo Products access to your child or student; in those
cases, we will obtain consent from the parent as an additional authorization where such is required by law. If we learn
we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent as outlined herein, we will delete that
information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child may have provided us personal information in violation of

When we use the term "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are referring to personally identifiable
information of users of the Platform who are at least eighteen years old. References to "Child(ren)'s Personal
Information" only apply to personally identifiable information of users under 13 years old who have registered for the
Platform. General references to "information" apply to all users.


3 Credit card transactions

If you provide us with your credit card number for pharmacy prescriptions
or other payments, we will treat your credit card number in a secure manner.
